No two composition projects are the same. Occasionally, freelance writing jobs require extensive groundwork such as research and/or interviews. Other jobs, such as copywriting in particular, requires carefully examining a an individual project plan, taking into account marketing materials or other products. Commercial writing often requires in-person meetings and/or conference calls. Freelance editing jobs for book authors usually require frequent contact and an understanding of the publishing industry. Drafts, revisions, communications, research time, and expenses are all factors that must be considered in a freelance editor’s rates, which is the reason I have not posted quotes online.
I have, however, been toying with the idea of offering freelance editing and proofreading services for a while. It seems that I have the requisite time and the motivation right now, so there’s no time like the present! Contact me regarding fees and project details.
